Heraeus Materials SA Moves to New Location in Yverdon
Heraeus Materials SA, the Swiss daughter company of Heraeus Medical Components Division, has begun its move to the technology park in Yverdon-les-Bains, in the Canton of Waadt. "The ultramodern building will help support the Medical Components Division in its global expansion and also strengthen its leading position worldwide as a supplier of components used in the fields of heart stimulation, coronary blood vessel surgery and stroke prevention, as well as other medical growth markets," stated Dr. Nicolas Guggenheim, head of the Medical Components Division.

Heraeus Medical Components Opens New Campus
Heraeus Medical Components, one of the world’s leading medical component manufacturers, hosted a Grand Opening celebration for staff and community leaders on September 12, 2008, as it begins consolidation of five Minnesota facilities to a newly constructed, state-of-the art facility at 5030 Centerville Road, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Heraeus Strengthens Medical Components Business
The globally active precious metal and technology group Heraeus strengthens its medical components product portfolio by purchasing the Interventional Business of Synovis Life Technologies, Inc., based in St. Paul, Minnesota. The transaction was closed on January 31, 2008. With this acquisition, the Heraeus Medical Components Division will employ over 700 people at 5 facilities in the U.S., Germany, Switzerland and Puerto Rico.
